We’ll come to your home and discuss your goals for your baby! We also see parents with children in the weaning phase of 3 years or older to offer guidance on nourishment and healthy eating habits.

Through years of experience, training, and serving as a lactation consultant in Langley and the Fraser Valley area, we apply professional knowledge and education to your personal feeding goals.

Together, we devise a realistic plan to ensure that you can meet all your goals as a parent. Ultimately, chestfeeding can be an adjustment — for everyone — which is why we’re here to make that adjustment as simple and comfortable as possible for you.

Why Hire an IBCLC?

An IBCLC is the only internationally recognised professional chestfeeding qualification. It is awarded by The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE); the examining body.

Before sitting the IBCLC exam, candidates must demonstrate extensive clinical experience (1000 hours) and advanced lactation education (at least 90 hours). They must abide by Professional Standards and recertify every five years to ensure they are up to date. From there, IBCLC consultants can help with any chestfeeding issues including complex situations, high-risk babies, oral assessment, and more.

We’re extremely reflective in our practice and we will always provide an evidence-based skill set when addressing feeding challenges.

A chestfeeding dyad is dynamic and ever-changing. We often tell clients fixing nursing problems tends to be two steps forward and one step back — this is completely normal. We will be with you through it all, cheering you on, reassuring you, providing you with evidence-based support, and helping you to meet your nursing goals, whatever they may be.

PRIVATE IN HOME SUPPORT - $245

This is a 60 – 90 minutes full lactation assessment and evaluation in your home*.

Please don't feel you need to clean up! But do try to arrange for your baby to be ready to feed.

Twins are an additional $50.

*A travel fee will be applied for homes more than 30 km away from our location ($25-$50 depending on location)

PRIVATE IN-CLINIC SUPPORT - $200

This is a 60-90 minute full lactation assessment and evaluation in our office, located in Maple Ridge. Please feel free to come in comfy clothes and a messy bun/pyjamas! Try to arrange for your baby to be ready to feed by staggering his or her feed.

FACE TO FACE VIRTUAL TELEPHONE SESSION WITH KATY

1 hour @ C$125, By phone, Online/Video chat

Sometimes we just need a bit of education, support and encouragement. This is a telephone or FaceTime consult to discuss any worries or questions you may have about feeding your baby. Duration 30min-60min

If you do not give the required 24 hrs notice a $50 deposit will be obtained as per our cancellation policy. The remaining amount will be refunded.
